Since Valentine’s Day is this week, I thought of these romantic dwellings I heard about while staying at Maison Valvert in Bonnieux, France. Cathy Herssons, who is the owner of this charming guesthouse, told me about a secret romantic place you could stay on her property up a dirt path past the olive trees behind the main building.. voilà a treehouse! She showed me a book about the creator of this treehouse , Alain Lauren, who left international marketing to bring these beautiful ,enchanting, and environmental structures [all come with seriously amazing views] to the world. These perches are built without driving nails into the trees and always respecting the tree host . He has a team who have built 350 of them all over the world! These pics of the ones in France caught my eye. Alain says they are for those that want to spend some time alone as well as a place to love. A perfect setting to dream and observe ..to read or write. Not that spending time in this area isn’t romantic enough but up in the trees is a dreamy fantasy that steps it up a notch or two….agreed?
